About me

As a graduate of both the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Royal college of Music, I have enjoyed success both as a soloist and a chamber musician. In 2014, I received second prize at the annual RCM chamber music competition for piano and strings.

My favorite composers include Bach, Schubert, Chopin, Brahms, Schumann, Ravel, Debussy, Puccini, Mompou, Albeniz, and Wagner.

I have participated in some of the world’s foremost music courses, including the International Musicians’ Seminar, Prussia Cove, The International Holland Music Sessions, and the Banff Piano Masterclasses. In 2014, I toured as a soloist with the Amstersfoorts Jeugdorkest, performing Ravel’s piano concerto for the left hand, and, most recently, performed with my London-based piano trio at the Grachtenfestival. My chief teachers were Marcel Baudet, Andrew Ball, and Hugh Wood. Upcoming concerts include another performance Ravel’s Piano Concerto for the Left Hand with the Collegium Musicum Orchestra in Leiden, as well as regular chamber music performances with the Netherlands-based Rietveld Ensemble.

Fountain pens

I am also an avid fountain pen collector, with a growing collection that includes a Lamy 2000 in stainless steel, a Leonardo Officina Italiana Furore in Smeralda Blue, and, one of my favorites, my grandmotherā€™s old Montblanc MeisterstĆ¼ck 146 with an extra-fine nib. When not teaching or practicing, I can usually be found at P.W. Akkerman in The Hague, looking through their stock with a jealous eye!
